About the track

Raceworld is a 400 metre indoor circuit at Woodbury Salterton, a few miles outside Exeter, and it has been trading since 1994. The layout mixes fast straights with flowing and technical corners and includes a flyover bridge.

What sets it apart from most indoor venues is the effort to feel less like a warehouse. There are trees and green areas inside the building, deliberately simulating outdoor racing without depending on the weather.

Three formats, priced clearly. Practice at £39.50 is two timed sessions with lap-time printouts, taking up to 14 drivers. Sprint at £54.50 adds a qualifier, a race, driver training and a podium. Super Prix at £67.50 is their most popular, with three sessions and half again as much track time as Sprint. Sprint and Super Prix both scale to 64 drivers.

It runs a full championship programme too: Hot Laps, a Junior Kart Academy, a Junior Kart Club, Devon Kart Club and a Devon Business League. They also publish an accessibility guide and a sustainability policy, which almost no other circuit in this directory does.

Racing your own kart

Accessibility

  • The operator publishes a full accessibility guide, which very few circuits do.
  • Events run from single drivers up to 64, so it suits an individual as readily as a large group.
